I was challenged to reinvent the brand identity of Australia’s national volleyball team, the Volleyroos, as part of a university competition seeking innovative alternatives to the traditional Aussie green and gold in sports.
This proposed new identity is inspired by the Australian Grass Tree (Xanthorrhoea australis) and its intense green-to-red colouration of new growth after a bushfire, signifying strength, resilience and growth through adversity using native iconography.
